Thinking of taking a holiday in sunny Far North Queensland?

Looking for an escape from those chilly winter days in the southern states of Australia?

Cairns in Far North Queensland is the obvious choice, with a warm tropical climate and two World Heritage sites – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest right on our doorstep, offering an incredible array of reef and rainforest experiences with something to appeal to everyone.

Great Barrier Reef Tours

The reefs, islands and sand cays of the Great Barrier Reef offer a kaleidoscope of texture and colour just a very short distance off the coast of Cairns. If you’re into diving and snorkelling there are a variety of great barrier reef tours available by boat – half day and full day tours from Cairns to reefs and cays up and down the Great Barrier Reef. These include Moore Reef, Arlington Reef, Norman and Agincourt Reefs and island locations including the Frankland Islands, Green Island, Fitzroy Island, and the Low Isles. If you’re a keen diver and you’re looking for overnight and multi day reef tours visiting some of the most incredible dive sites further afield – there are multiple ‘liveaboard’ options that will get you to some of the most unspoilt remote dive sites on the Great Barrier Reef.

If you’re looking to hook up with some of the local wildlife and half or full day reef fishing tours are your bag, there are sport fishing boats departing from Cairns Marlin Marina, Yorkey’s Knob and Port Douglas that offer reef fishing tours for all levels, from novice to multi day, heavy tackle big game / marlin fishing experiences that reach as far as Lizard Island and the remote reaches of Cape York and beyond.

There truly is something for everyone.
